As you can see today is not our usual comic.

This was an idea DJ came up with a while back when we were tossing around the direction of possible strips. We were really close to going with this super hero poker player concept. Think Justice League but they battled on the felt. Certain characters might have x-ray vision that would need lead cards to counter, or another who might have used mind control. Stuff like that.

In the end I think we made things way too complicated, but it would have made a killer comic book. Only these two were done and we thought it would be cool to show you what might have been.

What you see here are 2 different comics that were not in any particular order. There was to be storylines leading into and out of both comics that had nothing to do with each other. So those looking for continuity or a point won’t find any.

The reason we went with these today is 2-fold but brings me to some VERY good news.

FIRST - I am happy to announce Life’s A Bluff will be coming at you 3 days a week. 1,2,3 Count em, THREE days a week!! Starting July 31st we will bring a new strip every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.

Lots of great things coming. NONE of this could have been done at all with out the readers. The response over the past month or so has been TREMENDOUS. We have done no advertising other than word of mouth. So a big thank you to all of those mouths. We very much appreciate it.

SECOND - We are extremely busy planning for the switch. There will only be one more Thursday comic and that is next week. Not to mention, I will be in Vegas from the 26th until the evening of the 29th. So much stuff had to be done, we took this past week to do most of it.

Also, DJ right now is in San Diego for the convention and his comic book pitch to NBC. You can view the contestants online via webcast here or here. The webcast starts at 9am PST make sure you all tune in and show your support. If he is chosen as 1 of the 3 finalists, you will all be able to vote! Everyone wish him the best of luck!!
