Must See TV

————-
I don’t really watch too much television anymore. The stuff I do watch boils down to HBO and poker. One of my favorite shows isn’t even on TV, it is on the Internets. And tonight is WHALE NIGHT! That’s right… whale night.. and if you don’t know what I am talking about you are missing out.
Live at the Bike is a high stakes live action poker game broadcasted well, live at the Bicycle Casino in LA. You can watch it Monday through Friday from 7-10pm (pst). There is also a massive archive of every show.
Wednesday night is ‘Whale Night’ and is the big game of the week. They play $20/40 blinds with a $2000 minimum unrestricted buyin!
Today’s comic is dedicated to the regulars, more specifically “Corporate Mike” who is the crazy shiny bald head guy Charlie refers to. He is one of my favorites and reminds me a lot of my older brother. I don’t mean any offense to him. The lights on the show really put a nice glow to his head. It is pretty cool looking. And he is by no means “crazy” but definitely a maniac. I have seen him play and win with hands that most of us would throw away, over and over.
He sure did rip up aces too…. Well… He tried…. the cards they use at the Bike are MIKE proof. I think it was last week but he did pay for that right.
It is a subscriber based show but I give you my honest opinion, it is well worth the money. If you are in the least bit interested in improving your game, this is the place. What I love best is that it is un-edited and you see every hand. The hosts Bart Hanson & Dave Tuchman do a great job of informing the viewers of the action and the reasoning behind plays made. If you aren’t a member, go sign up now. Just take me for my word that by the end of your first month you will be hooked. I was…by the first day.
In other news.. I haven’t mentioned it but if you look to the right or click on the store link you will see the WPT Ladies Charity Piece.
We are selling prints hand numbered and signed by Brandon and myself. 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research. These are limited to 100 and is for a good cause. This is a project that is very near to me as I have lost many people I care about to cancer. Please help us sell them all.
The original artwork signed by the two of us and pro player Vanessa Rousso is on auction over at the WPT site. Go BID NOW! This is the first and only Life’s A Bluff original artwork that has been offered to the public. 100 percent of those proceeds will be donated.
The player at the table with the question mark is the winner of the Bicycle Ladies Event, Kelli Griggs. The event was held after the artwork was finished.
Thank you for all your support!

Must see tv, for sure. Again you guys get better and better each day. The color is great, and that first pic of Charlie is especially nice.

The print is wonderful. I wish I had any money right now to buy one… I’m doing the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Run For The Cure again this fall, though, so that’s my contribution.
They give you a sign to wear that says “I’m running for…” where you fill in names or what have you. Franky honey, I’d be honoured to add your aunt’s name to my list, if that’s okay with you.
My mother, as of this spring, is five full years cancer free. That was the best news I’ve ever, EVER heard.
