Today is Friday, which means our very first Laak & Loaded comic. Now since I have been calling this a spin-off strip for weeks, it makes sense that it actually spins off Life’s A Bluff right? So here we go.

Normally the plan will be Monday & Wednesday for the traditional Life’s a Bluff strips and Laak & Loaded for Fridays. However the next couple weeks the comics will be intertwined before splitting off and going on its own respective paths.

I also wanted to make it very clear that while Laak and Loaded is based on Phil Laak.. It is being written by Ryan and myself. The Unabomber will have creative input and will make sure we don’t butcher his name but for the most part it will be all us. That said… You will know it when he writes something.

Now we have always tried here at LaB to be somewhat respectful of the various players, but nobody is immune to being poked fun at in our strips. Phil included. And he is aware of that. So…We got our eye on you buddy… don’t go acting all crazy now.

It is really cool though being able to bounce ideas off a mind like Phil’s. It is one thing doing strips from the perspective of an amateur with some advanced knowledge of the game, but it is something totally different when you are able to draw inspiration from a top player. It really is going to be a fun time for all of us. I said it before but webcomics are never going to be the same.
