Uh Oh….

*edit - for those of you who may not have ever been to Vegas, as soon as you step outside there are all kinds of people handing out little cards with pictures and phone numbers of girls. But they are to be used for “massage” purposes only … so don’t get any ideas!

So some pretty CRAZY things are going on behind the scenes right now. I may need the assistance of the audience shortly. We will have to see.

HOME GAME OF THE WEEK:

This weeks home game of the week comes from our own Matt Waldron. It was a 14 player game with a $10 buy in. The final table (6) were given the hat of their choice to wear out of Matt’s closet. Good hat makes you a better player right? (Actually, they were just stunned by the amount and diversity in there and were kidding him, so he handed them out.)

First place: John M.
Second: Mary G.
Third: Matt - bubble boy since only the top 2 paid.

1st and 2nd were in their first ever tournament.

Home games rock.

TODD AND PENGUIN:

I want to direct attention over to one of my favorite strips of ALL TIME. Todd & Penguin. T&P is one of the reasons I got into webcomics. I really enjoy the imagination of creator David Wright and he is an inspiration. In fact David was one of my first choices as artist of Life’s A Bluff. At one point we were a script away from doing a comic together. I still want to do one with him at some point.

David is going to tackle a very personal issue for me over in his strip. I don’t want to spoil it just pay attention to it over the next few weeks but I suggest starting with this strip. It begins the current storyline. I also recommend this story arch. It is genius at work.

His strip isn’t for everyone but most of you should enjoy it. Think Calvin and Hobbes & Charlie Brown with a twist.

NEWS FROM AROUND THE NET:

Got the word on the official launch date of The Poker Road. It is the 21st. So make sure you check it out. It is a new site from the mind of Joe Sebok and Barry Greenstein as it is sure to become a favorite to many.
