Pot and Kettle

If you are not quite sure what todays strip refers to, read this. Basically this kid Jimmy “gobboboy” Fricke emailed Full Tilt to request sponsorship after taking second in the last Aussie Millions. Gus Hansen finished first. Anyway, they send him a standard denial saying something like thanks but no thanks. However at the bottom of the email was an internal response from Howard Lederer in which he calls Jimmy a weird dude and a freak. Some bozo forgets to remove this from his email before sending it over to Jimmy. The kid posts the reply on 2+2 and all hell breaks lose. Howard has since apologized and I am sure genuinely feels bad about it. We all have said stuff in the privacy of our friends/family that we would never say in public or to a persons face. It is a sad fact but we all do it.
I just thought it was funny though… After all… Isn’t it sort of like the pot calling the kettle black? Howard is not exactly a “normal” guy. And after all the stuff that has been said and written about both him and his sister, you would think he would have been a little more sensitive…
Either way… the whole deal just calls for a comic strip.
I mean no disrespect to anyone portrayed. This is all in good fun. I have great respect for Lederer. If it weren’t for him I might not have picked up the game. I learned quite a bit from reading and watching his stuff.
And here’s to Jimmy! I wish that kid nothing but the best of luck in the future.
