Super Sunday

Gotta be one of my favorite strips!

Superbowl Sunday
The NY Giants pulled off one of, if not THE greatest upsets of all time last night. What a game!! I don’t think I have been that excited watching sports since the Broncos beat the Packers. My hands still hurt from clapping. It was really nice to see Eli Manning earn super star status. In 60 minutes he went from Payton Manning’s little brother to one of the game’s top players. (Despite their incredible run, it wasn’t that long ago they were calling for his head. ) And how about the Giant’s defense??? The entire team was just amazing.
I really wanted to see the Patriots blow their perfect season. I couldn’t help shake the feeling that the core group of Patriots thought their shit didn’t stink. They were a bunch of cocky, over confident, cheaters and they deserved every bit of what they got. I gotta say though, if I were a Patriot fan I would be most aggravated at the coaching of my team. Why did they decide to go for it on 4th down when they could have kicked a field goal? I think it was cockiness rather than the lack of faith in their kicker.
But that wasn’t the only reason I was rooting against them. I am not usually a sports better but I will place a wager or two on the Super Bowl. Just a few bucks nothing crazy. I really felt like the Giants were going to pull it off too. The 4 to 1 I was given only made it easier.
I also won my prop bets. (The coin toss and win margin of the Giants.) So overall it was good times yesterday.
