Tournament Poker

The pros are cleaning house at this year’s World Series of Poker and I think it is awesome.   It is really good to see skill triumph.  It would be really cool if one walks away world champ.  I was even thinking about putting a 20 spot on a couple people I am rooting for.

After Rob Hollink’s win in event #30, the tally according to the Nolan Dalla media email is;

Professionals – 23 wins
Amateurs — 4 wins
Semi-Pros — 2 wins

That would be the online poker poster boy for integrity,  Mark Seif.

This photo was taken in the Amazon room at this year’s WSOP by Wicked Chops.   It seems as if the 60 minutes crew was there to interview various pros in regards to the Absolute Poker cheating scandal.  The shill felt like this was a perfect time to be a walking billboard for a site that admitted to robbing its customers blind.   What a tool. I guess he along with Raymer, Linda Johnson, Mike Sexton, & some others were interviewed for what is predicted to be a “hatchet job” on the industry.   I am really interested to hear what “the shill” ended up feeding them.

Absolute Poker must be paying him a lot.  I just wonder what kind of number a man puts on his integrity or at the very least his public persona.  I guess he needs to hold onto whatever he can get while he can get it.

I have said it before and it is worth saying again,  those that play on or represent Absolute Poker (or Ultimate Bet) are no different than the person who crosses a picket line.  If you don’t understand that comparison than you are definitely part of the problem.   And if you are Mark Seif, you only exacerbate the problem.   It’s clear though that he doesn’t care what the public thinks of him.  Personality, its not what he is or will ever be known for.   Outside of the Absolute Poker freeroll bobblehead winners, I doubt many of you know who he is anyway.

Money obviously talks and there are just some who will sell their soul to get it.

It’s sick.

I am glad the only participation I have with online poker these days is this website.  I will stick to the the live games.  I like to look the scumbag in the face.
