Today’s strip comes from Jon Scrivens of Little Terrors fame.  I have been after him for a while to do a guest strip and I really like what he came up with for this one.   Good stuff Jon!

50k HORSE

WOW.  What a final table we have going into today.  Erick Lindgren is chip leader right now.  I wish I could say I was rooting for him to win but I have to stick with the home team and go with Poker Road’s Barry Greenstein.    This year they will be giving away the Chip Reese Memorial Throphy and it would be really nice to see the Bear win it.

EDIT: Congrats to Scotty Nguyen for winning the 50k horse!   I guess the final table concluded today at about 7am Eastern.   Barry G finished in 6th.   Erick took 3rd.   Check back tomorrow for our exclusive (pre-win) Random Questions interview with the champ!

A quick story about E-Dog.  In 2005, Erick along with Daniel Negreanu were the first people I have ever interviewed.   It was at the E3 show in LA and they were promoting STACKED.   I was pretending to be a journalist and it was pretty obvious.  I can’t imagine what was going through their heads but they couldn’t have been cooler.  If it weren’t for those two I probably wouldn’t be doing LaB today.  It was one of those butterfly effect moments and I will never forget it.

Ryan Is Back

Most of you know Ryan has been on vacation doing the things he does.  You know, like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. I haven’t heard much out of him yet but I assume once he rests up we will all get a full trip report.  I hear he took film of everything.   No longer living in Mexico he is in Korea. (for now)  Anyway..  WELCOME BACK Ry!
