“The Prince” my ass
We have been big fans of ole Scotty for quite some time. After watching that video above I was left speechless. Had I known about this ahead of this post, I would have picked different words to describe Mr. Nguyen. His actions were beyond disgraceful and he should be ashamed of himself. What a way to honor Chip Reese.
Sick.
EDIT: Scotty has “apologized“.

Looked like drunk Scotty to me. Seriously drunk. Maybe he sees this now and feels bad about being such an ass.

I’ll try to track him down this weekend, see if he has anything to say on it.

Scotty Appologizes:
This was business. How many players do you know that would do that to the fans except one, the Prince of Poker, Scotty Nguyen and once again I apologize to all of you. No excuses for my behavior in that $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. final table. And I have explained to you why and how that happened. Bottom line, I only ask for you to please understand and remember that I, Scotty Nguyen, the Prince of Poker is still a human being, just like all of you. I too have good times, bad times, sad times and angry times, just like everyone else in this world, and I hope you can understand that. I do promise to all the fans that no matter what, from now, I would never disappoint you again any which way. I forgot about the fans, and only focused on me. I am sorry.

Well that was an embarrassment…
I like that Lindgren called him son though…that was funny.

Relevant here:
The player in seat 1 raises to 12,000 from middle position and Adam Weinraub makes the call from late position. Erick Lindgren moves all in for 44,900. Seat 1 calls and Weinraub folds.
Lindgren: KK
Seat 1: AK
Board: J83510
Lindgren’s kings hold as he more than doubles up to 126,000. Just as the hand ended, Layne Flack came over to congratulate his friend as our WPT cameras were there.
As soon as the cameras went off, Flack says to his friend, “I thought about high-fiving you, but the cameras were on.” (Referring of course to the WSOP $50K H.O.R.S.E. Championship when Lindgren left him hanging.) Both Flack and Lindgren got a good laugh as they high-five each other, Lindgren looks at flack and says, “Touché.”
