Still Missing…

Still Missing…

First.. I have to thank everyone for the overwhelming responses.   The poker & comic community jumped into gear instantly and before I knew it, this website crashed.  We have received hundreds of replies from people all over the world wanting to help.   If anything you all are helping us keep sane.

Fliers are being made so that we can get it plastered all over town.  I will have it here for download as soon as it is ready.

Nothing really new to report.   I didn’t get the phone data yet but it should come in very soon.   I am holding out a lot of hope in those records.  It has got to have something to get us in the right direction.

We are still gathering funds for a reward for information but I am not so sure we are going to go ahead with it.   It seems as if there are alot of cons to offering money.   The investigator told us horror stories about the people who come out of the woodwork claiming to have details.  Some ask for money up front before offering any info.   Drug addicts especially are big reward predators.       I haven’t made up my mind but I am leaning towards NOT using a reward.      It brought me to tears knowing there are so many of you out there willing to put up hard cash during such a nasty economy.      And like I said…  Should we decide against the reward or it doesn’t get used.  I will send it all back to the donors.

So that is it for now….  I gotta try and get some rest.   Will report again in the morning.

This is absolutely JUST terrible and happens way to often anymore.

The Cop who took the initial report needs a kick in the A$$ if he was not respectful.

My Department and most of the agencies in California have strict guidelines when it comes to children 14 and under. They are considered critical missing unless they have a history of running away which would be in any agencies computers accessible in the field to Patrol cops.

We then contact our missing person’s detail with top notch trained detectives who are part of our Homicide unit and we get a team of Deputies and start knocking on doors and making calls.

Colorado needs to look at it’s procedures and if this guy did not follow them, shame on him.

Colorado I am sure is working hard on this now. I hope she returns home safely. Please keep us posted with updates and if there is any hint she may have come to California, PLEASE let me know so I can help.

I’m keeping Jennifer and her family in my prayers. I know how devastating it is to not only have to deal with the suffering of your missing loved one but to have to deal with all the red tape from police. You’d fall back if you knew what we’ve had to endure from Miami Police in the disappearance of Lilly Aramburo, my closest friend.

Marc, thanks for posting the template. It’s very helpful!! I will be posting it to my blog.

Hang in there and do not lose hope!
