Dog suffering needs your help!

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

PLEASE NOTE…. NOT for the faint hearted.   Pictures below.

First… Let me apologize for dumping a topic like this on you during what is supposed to be a happy time of year.   I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.    For our fans overseas, have a happy Thursday.  ;)

Ok…  I need your help again.    My friend’s dog is really suffering right now and there is not enough money to get her put to sleep and cremated.     She is a 10 year old Rottweiler and has been the perfect dog.    It was because of her that we fell in love with the breed.     All the kids grew up with her and all other Rottweilers to follow were always compared.    I cannot sit by and watch her die a miserable death.    I figured it would take around $300 for everything.    I can throw in $50 and my mother has come up with $50.    So if we can raise $200 more than we can have this taken care of.   I will be able to find out more on Friday when we get the vet on the phone.

I am very worried that she doesn’t have much time left.    It may be a miracle if she makes it through the weekend.      But we can’t have this dog die with 2 young kids in the house….   There are too many other variables that would make that a terrible experience.

Below are some pictures….    Please beware that they may be tough to look at.     She is suffering from some sort of growth/tumor in her face.   Over the last 2 months or so it has gotten progressively worse.    It is literally stretching her face apart.     I went over there tonight and she is bleeding from her mouth and nose.     She is having trouble breathing and from time to time gurgles on the blood and fluid draining.     The past couple weeks she hasn’t been able to eat right.   They have been feeding her soft food by hand.      This growth has taken over her head.    Both eyes are almost swollen shot and her nose is stretched like a balloon… also swollen shut.

Please try to not be judgmental.    This is a very loving family and up until a couple weeks ago she didn’t appear to be suffering.     The last few days she has gone downhill pretty fast.   It is not a matter of not wanting to do the right thing… it is a matter of being able to.

Times are tough for everyone but all it would take is a  few people, donating a few dollars.      Being that is Thanksgiving too, we are looking at Friday morning at the earliest for this to be done.     If you can manage anything… please send paypal toemail

This is a few weeks ago….    It’s hard to get a good shot of it but you can see the size of her face.

This was taken an hour or so ago….   Anyone who knows Rottweilers can see by the 2 dots above her eyes, that something is not right.  There is blood all over her paws and the towel below.  It was hard to get a clear picture but trust me when I tell you… I have never seen a dog suffering in this kind of condition.  She has lost a lot of weight and is not sleeping very well.
